The technical reports on the payloads carried by ESRO sounding rockets are summarized. In a very condensed standard format, they describe successively: the scientific experiments making up the payload; the time schedule achieved for the construction and launch of the payload; the mechanical and electrical design of the payload and the outstanding events occurring during its integration; preparation on the range and launch theory; the behavior of the payload and its in-flight operation. In most cases, experience acquired during the lifetime of the payload has made it possible to put forward recommendations on how to improve the quality of future payloads and how to attempt to improve their reliability.
