This report presents a study to select signs for hazardous cargo routing. Sign designs were developed and the most promising were tested experimentally. Subjects were tested at several locations in the United States and include truckers, police, and representatives of the general driving public. A design is suggested for marking hazardous cargo routes based on the experimental results.
