A report is given of 34 crashes by the Baylor College of Medicine Multidisciplinary Crash Investigation Team involving vehicles in use. The research purpose was to determine the relationship between vehicle defects and failures and vehicle crashes. The primary vehicle component subsystem determined to be most causative-contributory in crashes for vehicles in use was degraded brakes. (Author)
