Identification of design concepts for a spacecraft and orbit replaceable units (ORUs) which are compatible with in-orbit servicing (IOS); identification of ORU interface restraints with respect to the satellite and a service manipulator; identification of operational, reliability, and safety constraints; recommendation of a standardized ORU concept to be compatible for all satellite systems; and recommendation of a technology program for the development of ORUs suitable for an operational IOS are summarized.
