This report, conducted by Navistar, was funded by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency. The objectives of this study are to (1) maintain a competitive Romanian truck and engine business, in conformance with ECE standards; (2) apply Navistar engine technology to Romanian trucks, increasing Navistar sales in Europe; and (3) create a cooperative assembly and manufacturing enterprise, to serve truck, bus, and industrial customers in Romania and for export.
