The report describes and assesses the corporate decision-making processes of eight domestic and foreign automotive manufacturers: American Motors, Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Nissan, Toyota, and Volkswagen AG. Some aspects examined include: (1) Future scenarios discussing likely automobile company responses to government regulations in view of possible interferences caused by product liability trends, economic recessions, and catalyst supply interruptions, (2) A description of pricing in the automobile industry, (3) An examination of the marketing practices of the automobile industry, and (4) A description of the decision-making process in each automobile company.
