This document consists of 17 papers that examine truck traffic related to petroleum well development and production in unconventional shale plays; a critical rural freight corridors designation; generation of reliable freight performance measures with truck GPS data; and a GPS and driver logbased survey of grocery trucks in Chicago, Illinois. This issue also summarizes the introduction of longer and heavier vehicles on the regional consumer price index and Spanish road freight transportation system; an optimal automobile distribution model in multimodal freight transportation networks; shipping chain choices in long-distance supply chains; and modeling of courier vehicles travel behavior. Included in this edition are papers examining impacts of extended interstate closures on regional freight logistics; predictive analytics to improve pricing and sourcing in third-party logistics operations; container flow assignment in intermodal freight transport estimations of multimodal freight project impacts; and an intermodal transportation disruption and reroute simulation framework.
