By taking the temporal and spatial characteristic of leg movement in the gait cycle into account and treating the walking motion of human target as the composite motions of typical movements, a simple and universal echoes model of walking human target based on linear rigid human body structure is presented in this paper. The model has good portability which can be applied to various radar transmit signals and parameters adjustment is convenient. The model also can be extended to obtain the echoes of running human target. Simulation results indicated that the model is consistent well with the actual situation of human walking.
