this article describes the study and development of a plug-in system in a conventional hybrid vehicle with the purpose to minimize fuel consumption and extend driving in EV mode, this with the help of groups of gel batteries and implementing additional electronics to allow the coupling of two sets of batteries. The main objective is to demonstrate the capacity increase in EV mode operation in a hybrid vehicle; the system the system incorporates an electronic control stage for management, and can be plugged into a power supply line of 110 Volts compatible with existing in the home, office.
