Diffractive coupling using Talbot effect has been explored as a method to produce coherent emission of array radiators through phase locking. In this paper we present the design of a Talbot cavity in a plane-convex GRIN resonator. An external plane mirror located at a certain distance of the array forms the basic cavity where Talbot effect favors antisymmetric oscillation, symmetric oscillation. We considered a general first-order system rather than a free-space plane cavity and it is characterized by its (ABCD) matrix.
