Silica-nanoparticle-dispersed methacrylate photopolymers are developed utilizing transparent plastic materials as the binder. Transmission volume hologram with 30-vol.% PMMA and 10-vol.% silica-nanoparticles exhibits the refractive-index change higher than 0.006.
