The main task of the leadership of any city is to ensure the protection of citizens from various dangerous impacts. In relation to vehicles, hazardous effects are: the consequences of an accident, environmental pollution, increased noise and vibration. In the modern megapolis, new categories of vehicles have appeared, such as: means of individual mobility, bicycle transport, motor transport and new types of transport services, for example: carsharing, kicksharing, taxi, delivery of goods by bicycle and motor transport. All this becomes the new urban mobility, creates a new vehicle structure and begins to affect safety in the city. Safety problems associated with new categories of vehicles and ways to solve them are discussed in the article.
