Along with emergency of the Yangtze River economic belt development strategy, Chongqing and Luzhou, Yibin port group as materials distributed in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River important nodes will play a powerful shipping hub and port, forming new engine of economic growth in Western China. From the data of Chongqing — Luzhou — Yibin port group cargo throughput, this paper aims to predict their future handling capacity based on the regression analysis model of the upper Yangtze river port throughput forecasting, which facilitates a rational analysis of the industry port and hinterland economy supply structure and space layout for people in the field. This method is beneficial to find new train and new measures for its development and worthy of reference for the industry and promotion.
