In the signal phase AC traction power supply system, usually use automatic passing neutral section to maintain load balances of three-phase system, but the automatic passing neutral section is easy to produce overvoltage in power system, it severely imperils the safety of electric system and equipment. Therefore, it is necessity to carry on the analysis to the electromagnetic transient process of automatic passing neutral section. First, the overvoltage caused by the action of split-phase breaker in phase change process has been analyzed in the paper, it is concluded that the overvoltage has much relevance to the automatic phase-splitters switch angle. Then, in order to test the correctness of theoretical analysis, an automatic passing neutral section simulation model of high-speed railway has been set up in MATLAB/Simlink. Finally, a measurement of restraining over-voltage is put forward and their effects are simulated.
