As a part of maritime informatization, the whole river basin signal coverage of the radio network is importantly significant to the data transmission between ship and shore. More specifically, on relatively complex Inland River, traditional propagation loss empirical formulas cannot fulfill the demand due to diverse of application environment. Consequently, by focusing on several typical inland river regions' measurement data and analyzing commonly used propagation loss models, the corresponding optimization models are designed. Finally, a comparison analysis is carried out to test these models' effectiveness. Outcomes of the test show that these models can well describe the actual situation of radio signal coverage under the inland river environment. Comparing with traditional empirical models, they are more accurate and practical.
