The optimization and control of energy efficiency for new energy hybrid ships are significant for the energy saving and emission reduction. In this paper, the current development status of the new energy hybrid power system design and modeling technology, energy efficiency optimization and control technology are fully analyzed. The importance of configuration forms of new energy ships for improving ship energy efficiency is revealed in this paper. The development direction of intelligent optimization algorithm suitable for hybrid power system of new energy ships is proposed. The shortcomings and problems with the development of energy efficiency optimization control for new energy hybrid ships are put forward. On these bases, the future development directions of energy efficiency optimization and control technology for new energy hybrid ships are prospected, aiming to promote the development of new energy hybrid ships.
