As the scientific payload of the Chang 'e-4 lunar rover, the panoramic camera undertakes the task of exploring the lunar geology. It can be used for mapping and terrain reconstruction, directly serving the navigation planning of the rover. The lunar remote sensing mapping data, the lunar Digital elevation model (DEM), and Digital orthophoto map (DOM), the mapping of the area near the Chang 'e-4 landing site are studied, and the development direction of the future lunar fine-mapping is discussed.
