The rapid development of Autonomous Vehicles represents a promise for improving the quality of life of the human being. As the automotive industry pushes forward with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, aiming for Level 5 autonomy according to SAE Standards, concerns persist regarding user reception and interaction with these systems. Evaluating User Experience (UX) during the testing process of these systems provides valuable insights, pointing out elements that improve driving experience and those that demand immediate attention. The aim of this paper is to provide a comprehensive overview of the technologies implemented for the objective evaluation of UX in the context of Autonomous Vehicle systems. This overview will allow researchers to have the tools to assess crucial elements during testing, addressing vital factors such as safety, trust, and human-machine interaction, and, in consequence, facilitating a wider user acceptance of Autonomous Vehicles.
