Rotor balancing for electric motors is nowadays crucial, because it ensures low mechanical excited vibrations and a high product quality. In this paper, a simulative investigation of different algorithms for the selective assembly of rotors, to reduce the mechanical unbalance, is presented. In order to do so, existing manufacturing deviations in the magnets are used as balance weights. The investigated algorithms cover offline algorithms as base of comparison and online optimization algorithms.
