This paper reports work being done by Qualtech Systems, Inc. (QSI) and Sikorsky Aircraft towards developing an integrated solution for onboard and ground based health management and condition-based maintenance of the Navy and Army helicopters as part of the JAHUMS-ACTD program (Joint advanced health and usage monitoring system-advanced concept technology demonstration). The solution builds upon QSI's system modeling and integrated diagnostics tools and Sikorsky aircraft's integrated electronic technical manual (IETM) software, and involves several key innovations. The solution will be integrated with the Navy's integrated mechanical diagnostics health and usage monitoring system (IMD-HUMS). We present the overall architecture and the data-management process of the integrated onboard and ground-support system for the IMD-HUMS, and comment on its potential for achieving the goals of the HUMS technology.
