A double-channel 8 mm band radiometer is presented in this paper, which has been used for atmospheric remote sensing. This radiometer adopts a novel technique to reduce influence of the receiver RF and IF gain on its sensitivity, in which double-channel methods, AC channel and DC channel, is employed. Practical measured results show this radiometer has enough stability in long time measurement and capability to measure atmospheric brightness temperature.
