Real time NH/sub 3/ detection under H/sub 2/O vapor mixture with mid-IR light source at 3/spl mu/m based on difference frequency generation (DFG) was demonstrated. High spectral resolution measurements of NH/sub 3/ avoiding interference of water are reported.
