We propose to use Raman amplifiers to assist degenerate four-wave mixing in dispersion-shifted fiber to enhance the conversion efficiency and parametric bandwidth. The conversion efficiency can be improved by 51 dB when compared to the case without the Raman pump. The operating bandwidth can be more than 40 nm wide with the Raman pump when the wavelength difference between the pump and signal for four-wave mixing is 0.6 nm.
