The German research project DELFIN ("Services for electric mobility - Promoting innovation and user-friendliness") examines the role of services for the spread of electric mobility. From the results, reference models and methods for the development and realization of successful services for electric mobility are derived. These are complemented by recommendations for politics, economy and science. In the presented case studies, the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO describes and analyzes projects and the resulting business ventures involving e-mobility services in countries outside Germany. The purpose of this research was to investigate different real-world scenarios in which services have contributed to the spread of electric mobility and to identify the factors responsible for their success.
