Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to additively manufactured vehicle exterior structures, designed to enclose the vehicle surface and support required operational loads. The vehicle structure includes cavities into which components that require an external interface are inserted. A plurality of components are assembled and integrated into the vehicle structure. The structure may be 3-D printed using multiple printing techniques applied in parallel or in series. In an embodiment, the components and structure are modular, use multiple materials and manufacturing techniques, and enable reparability and replacement of single parts.

    Certains modes de réalisation de la présente invention concernent des structures extérieures de véhicule fabriquées de manière additive, conçues pour renfermer la surface du véhicule et pour supporter des charges opérationnelles requises. La structure de véhicule comprend des cavités dans lesquelles sont insérés des éléments qui nécessitent une interface externe. De multiples éléments sont assemblés et intégrés dans la structure de véhicule. La structure peut être imprimée en 3D à l'aide de multiples techniques d'impression appliquées en parallèle ou en série. Dans un mode de réalisation, les éléments et la structure sont modulaires, utilisent de multiples matériaux et techniques de fabrication, et permettent de réparer et de remplacer des parties uniques.
