Use, as an anti-aging agent in polymer compounds, stilbene family compound of general formula (I): wherein the substitutes are selected from the following five combinations: a) R1, R3 and R5 are OH; R2, R4 and R6 are H; b) R1 and R4 are OCH3; R2 and R5 are OH; R3 and R6 are H; c) R1 and R4 are OH; R2 and R5 are OC(CH3)3; R3 and R6 are H; d) R1 and R4 are OCH3; R2 and R5 are OH; R3 and R6 are C(CH3)3; e) R1 and R4 are OC(CH3)3; R2 and R5 are OH; R3 and R6 are H.
