In a cooling device for a vehicle capable of switching a circulation direction of a cooling medium by switching a rotation direction of a motor pump in a cooling circuit including a plurality of heat generation sources placed in series so as to allow the cooling medium to flow, an ECU includes switch means for switching the rotation direction of the motor pump, when determining that the temperature of a target heat generation source, out of the heat generation sources, is in a specified high temperature state, the target heat generation source being positioned at a most downstream side with respect to an outlet of a radiator in a circulation direction of the cooling medium at current time.
