기존 선박 (1) 의 이용 방법은, 복수의 탱크 (3) 가 선수미 방향 (Da) 으로 배열된 선체를 갖는 기존 선박 (1) 으로부터, 복수의 탱크 (3) 중 일부의 탱크 (3) 및, 선체 중 일부의 탱크 (3) 가 형성되어 있는 선수미 방향 (Da) 의 일부의 선체를 포함하는 중간 선체부 (5C, 5D) 를, 탱크 유닛 (31A, 31B) 으로서 잘라내는 공정과, 중간 선체부 (5C, 5D) 보다 선미 (2r) 측에 배치되고, 기존 선박 (1) 으로부터 탱크 유닛 (31A, 31B) 이 잘라내어진 후의, 기관실 (2m) 을 포함하는 선미측 선체부 (5B) 에, 선수측 선체부 (5A) 를 형성함으로써, 새로운 선박을 제조하는 공정을 포함한다.

    This utilization method for an existing ship (1) includes: a step in which some tanks (3), out of a plurality of tanks (3), and intermediate hull sections (5C, 5D), including some of the hull in the bow–stern direction (Da) of the ship that has some of the tanks (3) provided therein, are cut out as tank units (31A, 31B), from an existing ship (1) having a hull having the plurality of tanks (3) arranged in the bow–stern direction (Da); and a step in which a new ship is produced by providing a bow-side ship hull section (5A) in a stern-side ship hull section (5B) after tank units (31A, 31B) have been cut out from the existing ship (1), said stern-side ship hull section including an engine room (2m) and being arranged further on the stern (2r) side than the intermediate hull sections (5C, 5D).
