The present invention relates to a transmission control device of a vehicle and a method thereof, and more specifically, to a transmission control device of a vehicle and a method thereof, which may detect the change amount of engine torque used for optimal transmission and the change amount of clutch torque on the coupling side based on a Gaussian process (GP) model which has completed machine learning, and control the transmission of a vehicle based on the same, thereby minimizing jerks generated during the transmission process of a vehicle and improving shift quality. To this end, the present invention may comprise: a storage unit which stores a Gaussian process (GP) model which has completed machine learning; and a control unit which detects the change amount of engine torque and the change amount of clutch torque on the coupling side based on the GP model, in order to control the transmission of the vehicle based on the change amount of engine torque and the change amount of clutch torque on the coupling side.

    본 발명은 차량의 변속 제어 장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로, 머신러닝이 완료된 GP(Gaussian Process) 모델을 기반으로 최적의 변속에 이용되는 엔진토크의 변화량과 결합측 클러치토크의 변화량을 검출하고, 이에 기초하여 차량의 변속을 제어함으로써, 차량의 변속 과정에서 발생하는 저크(jerk)를 최소화하여 변속감(shift quality)을 향상시킬 수 있는 차량의 변속 제어 장치 및 그 방법을 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위하여, 본 발명은 머신러닝이 완료된 GP(Gaussian Process) 모델을 저장하는 저장부; 및 상기 GP 모델을 기반으로 엔진토크의 변화량과 결합측 클러치토크의 변화량을 검출하고, 상기 엔진토크의 변화량과 상기 결합측 클러치토크의 변화량에 기초하여 차량의 변속을 제어하는 제어부를 포함할 수 있다.
