The present invention relates to a tie rod of a steering apparatus for a vehicle and a manufacturing method thereof. A method for manufacturing a tie rod of a steering apparatus for a vehicle, according to an embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: preparing a steel pipe; forming a rod part by forming the outer peripheral surface of the steel pipe into a preset shape through a pipe expansion or pipe reduction process; inserting reinforcing members into the interior of the steel pipe; and forming a ball stud part including a spherical head part at one end of the steel pipe, a body part connected to the rod part, and a neck part connecting the head part and the body part. The rod part and the ball stud part are formed integrally, and the reinforcing member is coupled to the inner peripheral surface of the steel pipe at a position at which the neck part of the ball stud part is formed. The present invention can manufacture the tie rod with uniform and excellent mechanical properties.

    본 발명은 차량용 조향장치의 타이로드 및 이의 제조 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 차량용 조향장치의 타이로드 제조방법은 강관을 준비하는 단계, 강관의 외주면을 확관 또는 축관 공정을 통해 사전 설정된 형상으로 성형하여 로드부를 성형하는 단계, 강관의 내부에 보강부재를 삽입하는 단계 및 강관의 일단에 구 형상의 머리부, 로드부와 연결되는 몸통부 및 머리부와 몸통부를 연결하는 목부를 포함하는 볼 스터드부를 형성하는 단계를 포함하며, 로드부와 볼 스터드부는 일체로 형성되고, 보강부재는 볼 스터드부의 목부가 형성되는 위치에서 강관의 내주면과 결합된다.
