The present invention relates to an autonomous battery balancing apparatus and method. The autonomous battery balancing apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a balancing switch connected to the battery cell of a vehicle battery module, and a cell for balancing part balancing the battery cell through a balancing device; a reference voltage generating part for generating a first reference voltage for cell balancing driving and generating a second reference voltage for cell balancing stop; a cell voltage measuring part for measuring the cell voltage of the battery cell; and a balancing driving part which compares the measured cell voltage with the generated first reference voltage to drive the balancing of the battery cell and compares the cell voltage of the balancing battery cell with the generated second reference voltage to stop the balancing of the battery cell. It is possible to easily stop cell balancing by deactivating a latch when a voltage value of a battery cell undergoing cell balancing becomes equal to an average voltage.

    본 발명은 자율 배터리 밸런싱 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 자율 배터리 밸런싱 장치는, 차량용 배터리 모듈의 배터리 셀과 연결된 밸런싱 스위치 및 밸런싱 소자를 통해 배터리 셀을 밸런싱시키는 셀 밸런싱부; 셀 밸런싱 구동을 위한 제1 기준전압을 발생시키고, 셀 밸런싱 중단을 위한 제2 기준전압을 발생시키는 기준전압 발생부; 상기 배터리 셀의 셀 전압을 측정하는 셀 전압 측정부; 및 상기 측정된 셀 전압과 상기 발생된 제1 기준전압을 비교하여 상기 배터리 셀의 밸런싱을 구동시키고, 밸런싱 중인 배터리 셀의 셀 전압과 상기 발생된 제2 기준전압을 비교하여 상기 배터리 셀의 밸런싱을 중단시키는 밸런싱 구동부를 포함한다.
