The present invention relates to an electric heating side mirror and a manufacturing method thereof. A bottom metal layer is formed by screen-printing a metal on a mirror, and an FTO material is deposited thereon through an ECR-PECVD process. By producing a pattern through laser etching, abrasion resistance and chemical resistance are secured. Thus, a separate protection layer is not required. A simple process is secured, and production costs are reduced. In a structure in which a bottom metal layer is formed by screen-printing a metal on a mirror glass plat and an FTO material is deposited through an ECR-PECVD process, a line-shaped intaglio part is formed with optional intervals and patterns on the FTO material. Thus, an electrode pattern is produced, and a terminal is made to directly come in contact with the electrode pattern. The manufacturing method comprises the steps of: forming a lower metal layer by screen-printing a metal on a mirror; depositing an FTO material on an upper part of the lower metal layer through an ECR-PECVD process; forming a line-shaped intaglio part through laser etching on the deposited FTO material with predetermined intervals and patterns; and making a terminal contact the electrode pattern.

    본 발명은 미러에 금속을 스크린 인쇄하여 하부금속층을 형성한 후, 그 상부에 FTO소재를 ECR-PECVD 공정으로 증착하고, 레이저 에칭을 통하여 패턴을 형성함으로써, 내마모성 및 내화학성이 생성되어 별도의 보호층을 요구하지 않으며, 단순한 공정과 제조원가를 절감하도록 한 전기 발열 사이드미러 및 그 제조방법으로, 미러 유리판에 금속을 스크린 인쇄하여 하부금속층을 형성한 후, FTO소재를 ECR-PECVD 공정으로 증착하는 구조로서, 상기 FTO소재 상에 라인 형태의 음각부를 임의의 간격과 패턴으로 형성하여 전극패턴을 형성하고, 상기 전극패턴에 직접 단자를 접촉시켜 제조하고, 사이드미러의 제조방법은 미러에 금속을 스크린 인쇄하여 하부금속층을 형성하는 단계와, 상기 하부금속층 상부에 FTO소재를 ECR-PECVD 공정으로 증착하는 단계와, 상기 증착된 FTO소재 상에 레이저 에칭을 통하여 라인형태의 음각부를 임의의 간격과 패턴으로 전극패턴을 형성하는 단계와, 상기 전극패턴에 단자를 접촉시키는 단계로 이루어진다.
