左右のサイドフレーム(22,22)が車幅方向両側に位置した車体構造である。該左右のサイドフレームは、車両外方から作用する車体前後方向の衝突荷重(fs)を受ける外力作用側の端部(22a,22a)と、該外力作用側の端部とは反対側の端部(22b,22b)とを有する。該左右のサイドフレームには、左右それぞれ複数の脆弱部(81,81,82,82,83,83)が設けられている。該複数の脆弱部は、少なくとも該外力作用側の端部に位置した左右の第1脆弱部(81,81)と、該左右の第1脆弱部から該反対側の端部側へ離れて位置した左右の第2脆弱部(82,82,83,83)とからなる。該左右の第1脆弱部の面積(A1)は、該左右の第2脆弱部の面積(A2,A3)よりも大きい。

    This invention provides a vehicle body structure in which left and right side frames (22) are located on both sides in a vehicle width direction. Each of the left and right side frames includes an end (22a) on an external force acting side that receives a collision load (fs) in a vehicle longitudinal direction acting from outside of a vehicle, and an end (22b) on an opposite side of the end on the external force acting side. The left and right side frames are provided with a plurality of fragile portions (81, 82, 83) on left and right sides. The plurality of fragile portions include at least left and right first fragile portions (81) located at the ends on the external force acting side, and left and right second fragile portions (82, 83) located on sides of the ends on the opposite side apart from the left and right first fragile portions. An area (A1) of each of the left and right first fragile portions is set to be larger than each of areas (A2, A3) of the left and right second fragile portions.
