To improve convenience by digitizing a congestion state in a car and notifying the number of users allowed to board the car and the numbers of wheelchairs and baby carriages to a user waiting for arrive of an elevator.SOLUTION: An elevator system comprises: an in-car camera that is provided in a car of an elevator and detects a congestion state in the car; a congestion state determination unit that calculates the number of users allowed to board the car on the basis of detection information from the in-car camera; and a notification unit that displays the calculated number of users allowed to board the car on an in-car display device and a landing display device or causes it to be notified of by means of a voice.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
