To reduce pressure loss in an exhaust passage as well as suppress enlargement of an outboard engine.SOLUTION: A first case stores an engine. An upper housing is installed below the first case. At least one portion of an exhaust passage is installed in the upper housing and extended downward from the engine. A second case is installed below the upper housing. The second case includes a torpedo unit, an exhaust entrance, an exhaust exit, and an exhaust chamber. The torpedo unit includes inside space and a rear end. A propeller shaft is arranged in the interior space of the torpedo unit. A rear end of the torpedo unit is positioned in front of at least one portion of the exhaust passage in a side view. The exhaust passage is connected to the exhaust entrance. The exhaust exit is communicated with the interior space of the torpedo unit. The exhaust chamber communicates the exhaust entrance and the exhaust exit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
