To provide a remote monitoring technique which ensures safety of an autonomous vehicle while traveling in the autonomous mode.SOLUTION: An autonomously drivable vehicle transmits data acquired by autonomous sensors to a (remote monitoring) center. The vehicle also detects obstacles using information obtained from the autonomous sensors. When obstacles are detected, the vehicle automatically stops and transmits a first signal to the center. Upon receipt of the first signal, the center displays an image of the surroundings of the vehicle on a display unit using the data received from the vehicle. When an input of a command for authorizing resumption of travel is received, the center transmits a second signal that authorizes resumption of travel to the vehicle. Upon receipt of the second signal from the remote monitoring center, the vehicle resumes travel. The vehicle stops if the second signal discontinues after the receipt of the second signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】自律走行車両の自律走行時の安全を確保することができる遠隔監視技術を提供する。【解決手段】自律走行可能な車両は、自律センサで取得されたデータをセンターに送信する。また、車両は、自律センサから得られる情報に基づいて障害物を検知する。障害物が検知された場合、車両は自動停止し、第1の信号をセンターに送信する。センターは、第1の信号を受信した場合、車両から受信したデータに基づいて車両の周辺の映像を表示部に表示する。そして、走行の再開を許可する指令の入力を受け付けた場合、車両に走行の再開を許可する第2の信号を送信する。センターから第2の信号を受信した場合、車両は走行を再開する。車両は、第2の信号の受信後、第2の信号が途絶した場合、車両を停止させる。【選択図】図2
