To provide a portable type engine work machine which can be lifted up while allowing easy selection of an optimum lift-up position for the movement of a gravity center position.SOLUTION: An engine work machine 11 includes a lifting metal fitting mount member 18 provided on the upper part of a casing 13 storing an engine, a work machine, a fuel tank 15, and a reductant tank 16, the lifting metal fitting mount member 18 extending in the moving direction of the gravity center of the engine work machine 11 according to the capacity of fuel in the fuel tank 15 and the capacity of reductant in the reductant tank 16, having a plurality of lifting metal fitting mount holes for a lifting metal fitting to be selectively mounted therein along the moving direction of the gravity center, and including informing means for selecting one of the plurality of lifting metal fitting mount parts on the basis of the gravity center position of the engine work machine according to the capacity of the fuel and the capacity of the reductant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
