To provide a signal processing device and a sensor system, with which it is possible to change a monitoring area in accordance with the state of a seat by a simple structure.SOLUTION: A signal processing device 4 comprises a first acquisition unit 41, a second acquisition unit 42, a determination unit 431 and an area setting unit 432. The first acquisition unit 41 receives a radio wave sensor signal J1 outputted from a radio wave sensor in a prescribed space. The second acquisition unit 42 receives seat sensor signals J21, J22 outputted from a seat sensor in the prescribed space. The determination unit 431 performs a determination process of determining the state of persons in the prescribed space on the basis of the radio wave sensor signal J1. The area setting unit 432 sets a monitoring area in which the determination process is performed, on the basis of the seat sensor signals J21, J22. The determination unit 431 performs the determination process using some of the reflected waves having been reflected in the monitoring area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
