To provide a control device of a hybrid vehicle which can prevent a rotation speed of a rotor from being put into a high rotational state exceeding an allowable maximum rotation speed.SOLUTION: When an actual rotation speed difference ΔN that is a rotation speed difference between an allowable maximum rotation speed Nmmax and an MG2 rotation speed Nm is equal to or smaller than a tolerance rotation speed difference ΔNr, since a transmission ratio γat of a stepped transmission part 60 is changed so as to increase the actual rotation speed difference ΔN, the difference between the allowable maximum rotation speed Nmmax and the MG2 rotation speed Nm is prevented from being equal to or smaller than the tolerance rotation speed difference ΔNr. Thereby, since a comparatively sufficient margin is secured in the difference between the allowable maximum rotation speed Nmmax and the MG2 rotation speed Nm, the MG2 rotation speed Nm can be prevented from being put into a high rotational state exceeding the allowable maximum rotation speed Nmmax.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
