To provide a virtual image display device that can prevent temperature increase in a housing due to incidence of external light such as solar light.SOLUTION: In a virtual image display device comprising a housing 110, a display unit 120 provided inside the housing for emitting display light indicating display information, and reflection parts 130 and 140 provided inside the housing for reflecting the display light emitted by the display unit, the display light reflected by the reflection parts is emitted through an opening 111 provided on the housing to display a virtual image 20 of display information at the front of a projection member 10, the opening is provided with a closing member 150 for closing the opening, and the closing member is provided with a reflective layer 152, located on a surface of a light transmissive member 151, for reflecting the infrared ray of solar light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
