To provide a system and method for tightly controlling the temperature of a fuel cell stack used in a vehicle.SOLUTION: A system for heating or cooling a vehicle fuel cell circuit 118 includes a fuel cell stack 200, a temperature sensor for detecting the fluid temperature of a fluid, a pump 220 for pumping the fluid through the fuel cell circuit, and an ECU. The ECU determines a temperature control signal on the basis of the desired fluid temperature. The ECU is also designed to calculate a desired mass flow rate of fluid through the fuel cell stack 200 on the basis of the temperature control signal. The ECU is also designed to calculate the desired pump speed of the pump 220 on the basis of the desired mass flow rate of fluid through the fuel cell stack 200. The ECU is also designed to control the pump 220 to pump the fluid at the desired pump speed to increase or decrease the fluid temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
