To provide a stolen vehicle tracking system capable of tracking such a stolen vehicle capable of inter-vehicle communication using communication data acquired by an inter-vehicle communication, and tracking such a stolen vehicle that an inter-vehicle communication is not possible using information acquired from vehicles incapable of inter-vehicle communication.SOLUTION: License plate information of the other vehicle is acquired by inter-vehicle communication; a captured image including the other vehicle is acquired; a determination is made whether or not an inter-vehicle communication is possible for each other vehicle in the captured image by comparing a distance between the own vehicle and the other vehicle based on the captured image and another distance between the own vehicle and the other vehicle based on the inter-vehicle communication; first other vehicle information including the license plate information of the other vehicle capable of inter-vehicle communication and the corresponding positional information, and second other vehicle information including the captured image of the other vehicle incapable of inter-vehicle communication and the corresponding positional information are transmitted to a server; and a stolen car is tracked based on the first other-vehicle information and the positional information and the second other-vehicle information and the positional information which are received by the server.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】車車間通信により取得される通信データを利用して車車間通信可能な盗難車の追跡をし、且つ、車車間通信が不可能な車両から取得される情報を利用して車車間通信が不可能な盗難車を追跡することが可能な盗難車追跡システムを提供する。【解決手段】車車間通信で他車両のナンバープレート情報を取得し、他車両が含まれる撮像画像を取得し、撮像画像に基づく自車両と他車両との間の距離と、車車間通信に基づく自車両と他車両との距離を比較することで、撮像画像内の他車両ごとに、車車間通信が可能であるか否かを判定し、車車間通信が可能な他車両のナンバープレート情報を含む第1の他車両情報及び対応する位置情報と、車車間通信が不可能な他車両の撮像画像を含む第2の他車両情報及び対応する位置情報とをサーバに送信し、サーバで受信された第1の他車両情報及び位置情報と、第2の他車両情報及び位置情報とに基づき、盗難車を追跡する。【選択図】図1
