To improve flight safety by determining level of authentication for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operation.SOLUTION: A system and a method for safety of a UAV (260) are provided. An authentication system may be used to confirm the UAV (260) and/or user identification information and provide secured communication between users and the UAVs (260). The UAVs (260) may operate in accordance with a set of flight regulations. The set of flight regulations may be associated with a geo-fencing device in the vicinity of the UAV (260).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
