To provide a car door device for an elevator enabling prevention of improper movement of door panels.SOLUTION: A car door device for an elevator includes a door panel regulation device 42 for regulating movement of door panels at a full open position or a full close position. An opening/closing device includes: a rack gear 411b directly or indirectly coupled to the door panel; and a pinion gear 412b engaged with the rack gear 411b and rotating by receiving driving of a motor. The door panel regulation device includes: a rotary cam 420 coupled to the pinion gear 412b concentrically and having a cam surface 421 on an outer periphery; an abutment body 422 provided to enable abutment on the cam surface 421; and an elastic body 423 for pressing the abutment body 422 against the cam surface 421. The cam surface 421 includes: an arc surface 421a having a constant curvature radius from a rotation center; a first regulation surface 421b of which a distance from the rotation center is shorter than the curvature radius of the arc surface 421a; and a second regulation surface 421c of which a distance from the rotation center is shorter than the curvature radius of the arc surface 421a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
