PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel saving control device and a fuel saving control method, capable of executing fuel saving control again after stopping it earlier than before.SOLUTION: A fuel saving control device 100 includes: a margin driving force calculation section 101 for calculating margin driving force; a fuel saving control section 102 for executing fuel saving control for performing downward correction of instruction fuel injection amount corresponding to an accelerator opening when the margin driving force reaches a predetermined threshold value or more, and for stopping the fuel saving control when the margin driving force reaches less than the predetermined threshold value; a vehicle position detection section 108 for detecting a vehicle position; a map information storage section 109 for storing map information; a road information identification section 110 for identifying a gradient and a curvature radius of a road on which the vehicle is traveling on the basis of the vehicle position and the map information; and a flat straight road determination section 111 for determining whether the road on which the vehicle is traveling is a flat straight road on the basis of the gradient and the curvature radius of the road on which the vehicle is traveling. When the road on which the vehicle is traveling is the flat straight road, the fuel saving control section 102 executes the fuel saving control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】省燃費制御を停止した後に今迄以上に早期に再実行することができる省燃費制御装置及び省燃費制御方法を提供する。【解決手段】省燃費制御装置100は、余裕駆動力を演算する余裕駆動力演算部101と、余裕駆動力が所定の閾値以上になった時にアクセル開度に応じた指示燃料噴射量を下降補正する省燃費制御を実行し、余裕駆動力が所定の閾値未満になった時に省燃費制御を停止する省燃費制御部102と、車両位置を検出する車両位置検出部108と、地図情報を格納する地図情報格納部109と、車両位置と地図情報とに基づいて走行中の道路の勾配と曲率半径とを特定する道路情報特定部110と、走行中の道路の勾配と曲率半径とに基づいて走行中の道路が平坦直線路であるか否かを判定する平坦直線路判定部111と、を備え、省燃費制御部102は、走行中の道路が平坦直線路である時に省燃費制御を実行する。【選択図】図1
