PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle that reduces fuel consumption of an engine associated with EV travel and keeps quietness during travel in an EV travel mode even when a voltage value of a drive battery has dropped to an engine start voltage, by delaying start of the engine instead of starting it soon.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle comprises an EV priority switch 31 for delaying a switching timing from an EV travel mode to a hybrid travel mode to prioritize the EV travel mode. An EV travel mode release control unit 43 comprises: a first release unit 51 that switches a mode to the hybrid travel mode when a voltage of a drive battery 13 has reduced below a prescribed threshold during travel in the EV travel mode while the EV priority switch 31 is in an off state; and a second release unit 55 that switches a mode to the hybrid travel mode when a release condition by the first release part 51 is satisfied in a case where the EV priority switch 31 is in an on state and also when a release condition of a delay unit 53 holds.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】本発明の少なくとも一つの実施形態は、ハイブリッド車両において、EV走行モードで走行中に、駆動用電池の電圧値がエンジン始動電圧まで低下した場合でも、すぐにエンジンを始動させずにエンジン始動を遅延させて、EV走行によるエンジンの燃料消費の低減、及び静粛性を保持すること。【解決手段】EV走行モードからハイブリッド走行モードへの切り替えタイミングを遅延してEV走行モードを優先させるEV優先スイッチ31を備え、EV走行モード解除制御部43は、EV優先スイッチ31がOFFのときはEV走行モードによる走行時に駆動用電池13の電圧が所定閾値以下に低下したときハイブリッド走行モードに切り替える第1解除部51と、EV優先スイッチ31がONのときは第1解除部51による解除条件が満たされ、さらに遅延部53の解除条件が成立したとき、ハイブリッド走行モードに切り替える第2解除部55と、を有する。【選択図】図3
