PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide better topographic visualization as input information for multiple vehicle systems and determination criteria for vehicle drivers.SOLUTION: In a visualization technique for a vehicle 10, a driver of the vehicle combines a forward facing video camera 11 and forward facing distance measurements. By combining output signals of a camera and providing an augmented reality display to the driver of the vehicle, even if it deviates from a line of sight of the driver, it is possible for the driver to recognize topographical features with respect to the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
