PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve low heat generation property, cut resistance and mechanical properties of a rubber composition for a tire.SOLUTION: A rubber composition for a tire is provided that is obtained by blending 40 to 80 pts.wt. of carbon black having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 85 to 120 m/g with 100 pts.wt. of a rubber component. The rubber component is composed of: 10 to 75 wt.% of a masticated rubber master batch in which 0.3 to 5.0 wt.% of a specific compound represented by the general formula (i) coexists with 100 wt.% of a diene rubber containing 40 wt.% or more of natural rubber and/or isoprene rubber and optionally styrene butadiene rubber; and 90 to 25 wt.% in total, of styrene butadiene rubber, natural rubber and isoprene rubber, and in the rubber component, 10 to 30 wt.% in total, of the natural rubber and isoprene rubber are contained and 90 to 70 wt.% of the styrene butadiene rubber is contained.SELECTED DRAWING: None
