PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breaking strength prediction method capable of accurately predicting the breaking strength of various materials, and provide a rubber composition for a tire having a high durability.SOLUTION: Height z(x) of a fracture surface of a material at a position x is measured. An altitude difference correlation function Cz(λ) shown by equation (3) is calculated, using data at the position x, data of the height z(x) at the position x, dispersion function σ(x) shown by equation (1), and Gamma function Γz(λ) shown by equation (2). Then, Hurst exponential H, perpendicular correlation length ξv, and longest horizontal correlation length ξh are determined and the breaking strength is predicted, on the basis of the fractal theory shown by equation (4).SELECTED DRAWING: None

    【課題】各種材料の破壊強度を高精度に予測できる破壊強度予測方法、及び耐久性に優れたタイヤ用ゴム組成物を提供する。【解決手段】材料の破断面の位置xにおける高さz(x)を計測して、前記位置xのデータ及び該位置xにおける高さz(x)のデータと、数式(1)で示される分散関数σ(x)及び数式(2)で示されるガンマ関数Γz(λ)とを用いて、数式(3)で示される高度差相関関数Cz(λ)を算出し数式(4)で示されるフラクタル理論に基づいて、Hurst指数H、垂直相関長ξv及び最長水平相関長ξhを求め破壊強度を予測する。[数1]【選択図】なし
