PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable starting charge operation from a charger to a vehicle, even when a current in a connector detection line is not detected, and connection between the charger and the vehicle by a charge cable cannot be confirmed.SOLUTION: A connector connection detecting circuit 20 for detecting a current transmitted from a connector connection detecting circuit 10 on the vehicle side through a connector detection line 31 connected by a charge connector 32 when a charge cable is connected to the vehicle through the charge connector 32 is provided in a charger. The connector connection detecting circuit 20 detects the current of the connector detection line 31 to start charge. A current supply means including a switch 26 for supplying a current to a connector detection line 28 wired in the connector connection detecting circuit 20 is provided in the charger. When the connector detection line 31 is disconnected, and a current fed to the connector detection line 31 is not detected, the switch 26 is turned on to make the current of the connector detection line 31 detected in a pseudo manner, and charge of a battery is started.

    【課題】コネクタ検知線の電流が検知されず、充電ケーブルによる充電器と車輌側との接続が確認できない場合であっても、充電器から車輌の電池への充電動作を開始させることを可能にする。【解決手段】充電ケーブルが充電コネクタ32を介して車輌に接続されたとき、充電コネクタ32により接続されるコネクタ検知線31を介して、車輌側のコネクタ接続検知回路10から送電される電流を検知するコネクタ接続検知回路20を充電器に備える。該コネクタ接続検知回路20は、コネクタ検知線31の電流を検知して、充電を開始させる。コネクタ接続検知回路20内に配線されたコネクタ検知線28に電流を供給するスイッチ26を含む電流供給手段を充電器内に備える。コネクタ検知線31が断線して、コネクタ検知線31に給電される電流が検知されないとき、スイッチ26をオンにして擬似的に、コネクタ検知線31の電流を検知させ、電池の充電を開始させる。【選択図】図1
